QuickWriting-What role does literature play in your life?

In my everyday life I try to be a better person, especially to be a learned person. Literature helps me a lot and guides me so that I learn morality and perhaps have to be smarter. I usually can't understand what literature tells us. However, if I continue to read and try to understand what it is trying to say eventually get the real meaning. When I am reading literature, my heart feels really peaceful and quiet. It always lightens my way to life. Even though some literature is sometimes boring and not well written, other pieces of literature are often deep and beautiful. Some of them are a kind of art that uses words and not paint. With literature I can discover how different people think and feel and believe. I can also find that people in different parts of world usually have similar wishes and dreams as I do. Literature helps me see that the world and the people in it are literature very similar, despite surface differences.

Old man

Silently, I came into the room.
For sure he didn't see me.
Looking at his unhappy, old face and empty eyes
Staring through folds of aging skin
I see his first love
Or maybe his wife who left him
For a younger man
He sits
Clutching his soft jacket
to keep out the cold he really feels within
Bought, maybe by her
in a slightly wealthier time
when each was happy and the son
shone brightly on their lives
Love can make a person die inside
and even cause the flesh to wither
like an old flower
Silently, I leave him,

Do Seek their Meat from God

"Do Seek their Meat from God" is a really meaningful story which make me have a deep thinking about human and nature. In this story, there are conflicts between animals and humans. That is brought about by an inability to consolidate the needs of each other. Animals need food to live, but as humans become more predominant and require more resources, we become less willing to share these resources, as can be seen with the panthers going off to eat the farmers' stock. It also attracts me a lot, especially in the panther's side. In my opinion, why I support the panther more,because it has its own decision and object clearly,while the hunter considers a lot about whether he will save the boy. And human has the gum which is a really powerful weapon to let a specie die out. This story tells us that the harsh truths of nature, where if the parents efforts aren't enough then the children die. And the humans, with settlement of an area, tend to create unnatureal circumstances that the animals simply are not ready to overcome.

Homegirl

If I should choose one of physical and sedate. I perfer sedate. Many of my friends can not believe that I am a quiet person, but they don't know me deeply. I am really out-going but I seldom play outside or hiking, biking in the mountain. However, I am a person who likes staying at home and doing some indoor entertainment at home.

  My mom says that I am a lazy girl because I will never choose stairs if there is escalator in the shopping mall. Sometimes, I also want to go out with my friends and do some exercises outdoor but most of the time I don’t have the passion for any sports. I really prefer watching television, listening to the music, surfing on the Internet at home than going outside for sweaty workout. After we finish the school stuff, I enjoy relaxing in my room or chatting with my family. Besides, I like watching movie, playing the piano and reading a book more thus there is no need for me to go out. I think a person needs some quiet quality time for meditation. I am the person who needs that kind of time. I don’t work out doesn’t necessarily mean I don’t like sports. I enjoy watching all the games especially basketball and hockey. I think watching the games and cheering for the players onsite is also a great way to get involved in these games.
